Wananavu
Wananavu means paradise in Fijian. Take a second to view and listen to a native little tune that will make you wish you were out of the office and on the beach of the South Pacific. I have about a half a dozen songs recorded by this back-porch group that is wonderful to listen too. Every afternoon and evening this group would serenade the resort guests as we ate native pineapple, homemade bread, salads and sandwiches. The dinning room and porch where we ate everyday hung off a hill that overlooked palm trees and the ocean. Everytime I take a second out of my day to listen to their songs, I swear I can hear the sound of waves crashing and the rustling sound of palm beach leaves swaying in the background. Even though I love the mountains, there's a little piece of my heart that has fallen in love with the South Pacific.

Fiji Paradise
April 19th to the 28th was absolutely heaven. Literally, we stepped right off the plane into perfect paradise.....FIJI. I decided that I would surprise my wife by taking her to a place that I've always wanted to go, the South Pacific. I thought, might as well knock out two birds with one stone by going somewhere I've always dreamed of and spending our honeymoon in warm and tropical Fiji. We were blown away by the tropical views and luscious greenery that surrounded us. The Fijians are the nicest people on the planet. They are sooooo generous and hospitable. We quickly understood their phrase of "fijian time" since everyone there is so laid back and relaxed. This was the perfect way to start our marriage and a great addition to one of the incredible journeys and adventures that we enjoy.

Wedding
April 18th, 2008 was the happiest day of our life. It was the day of our marriage and the first time we could call ourselves Husband and Wife. Even though some say that the wedding day is the beginning of a relationship, we like to think of it as the continuation of our love, appreciation and friendship that we have with eachother. We were married and sealed in the breathtaking Salt Lake City Temple (It was the background of the 2007 X-Game series and the 2002 world winter olympics that took place in Salt Lake City). We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day. The sun was welcoming and the breeze was refreshing. We felt blessed to have such great weather since a few days before it had snowed and it was predicted that another storm was supposed to arrive that same weekend. I guess you could say that the heavens were smiling down upon us. We were surrounded and supported by our closest friends and loving family. We were blessed to have President Uchtdorf, second counselor, of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints seal us in front of family and friends for time and all eternity.
